The NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (hosted by the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement) has won the Large Employer of the Year category of the 2011 CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) awards announced this week.

16 September 2011 : Emerging Leaders challenged by Jim Easton to ‘change the NHS’

The sixty successful applicants to the NLC Emerging Leaders ‘NHS Vanguard’ programme were encouraged by Jim Easton, National Director for Improvement at the Department of Health, to “be the generation of leaders who led wholesale change in the way care is delivered in our country”.

24 August 2011 : Report shows Management Trainees generate significant returns for the NHS

The NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme generates savings per trainee in the tens of thousands of pounds, and retains more trainees than other private and public sector schemes.

Those are findings in a report published today. 'The Payback – Return on Investment for the NHS Graduate Scheme' has been produced by Sonia Srutek and John Boileau of the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.

01 August 2011 : Apply for the Emerging Leaders' Vanguard programme

The Emerging Leaders' Workstream has commissioned the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement to deliver a “virtual” accelerated development programme for 120 NHS leaders; 60 emerging leaders and their local sponsors over a six month period commencing September 2011. The programme includes roll out to 2,000 local leaders as part of the approach to mobilisation for quality and cost improvement.
