Promoting Talent and Leadership

The 2010 White Paper and subsequent 2011 Health and Social Care Bill set out the Government’s vision and commitment to significant changes to the way NHS provider organisations work in the future.

The changes set out ambitious plans for providers…… first class leadership is necessary to deliver the vision.

The NLC's provision workstream aims to support:

• Aspirant NHS Trusts to achieve Foundation Trust status by 2014
• Foundation Trust Governors to have an increasing and crucial role in the new system
• Leadership development of new forms and types of provider organisations

Over the coming months, the NLC provision workstream will design, test and produce a series of interventions to support provider leadership development in the NHS for 2011/12.
